Born on the east coast. Moved frequently (more like dragged actually) around the country before landing in the cold hinterland of Northern Minnesota (insert Fargo joke here).
While hibernating in the tundra of Minnesota, found the theatre and all the laughter, discovery and, let’s be honest, neurosis that came with it. That led to college in Wisconsin followed by graduate school in Pittsburgh (yes I do have one of those Master of Fine Arts degrees).
My budding acting career brought me to Chicago where I appeared on many of Chicago’s stages from Chicago Shakespeare Theatre to Court Theatre (along with a few commercials along the way). I hopped around the country a bit as well from the Utah Shakespearean Festival to upstate NY. However, my goal of playing Richard II has still eluded me...
On a whim, I interviewed at an ad agency (thinking interviewing for a job that didn’t have “wait staff wanted” in the title would be a good experience). And wouldn’t you know, they hired me. Some would call me a “seasoned” agency producer (and a couple of people did actually). My experience runs the gamut. Animation. Live action. Food. Visual effects. Comedy. Lifestyle. Fashion. Even a music video. Small budgets to grand. I also have extensive international experience. I build strong creative relationships with my teams. And I can count a wide variety of very satisfied clients.
I love producing. I love the people. The travel. The challenges. The creativity. The problems. The late nights. The “can you get this done is 72 hours?” The schedule revising. The negotiating. The conference calls. The days when I get to scour the globe for a hot new director. The long lasting friends I have made in this biz. The laughter. And, oh yes, the wine.
